Layering Your Skincare Regimen AM & PM
The images below are examples of a morning and evening skincare routine. Your skincare routine can be as simple as a great cleanser, moisturizer (with antioxidants), and SPF, to more targeted to treat skincare goals by adding a serum or eye cream.
When applying skincare, remember to apply the products from thinnest to thickest because thinner products cannot penetrate through thicker applications. Facial oils should be applied as moisturizer or after moisturizer for extra hydration and glow. SPF is the last step in any daytime routine. SPF doesn't need to penetrate the skin, rather this product protects the skin from environmental elements and rays. For best results, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen that is SPF 30.

The double cleansing approach is when a cleansing oil, balm cleanser or similar product is first applied to remove your makeup, debris, and sunscreen. This initial cleanse prepares the skin for a gentle cleanser that is targeted for your skincare goals to be applied and more impactful instead of trying to fight heavy layers of other products and debris.
Double cleansing is an excellent skincare approach in the evening for some. While it is not required, this method can be extremely beneficial. Those that wear heavy makeup or have oily skin might tolerate double cleansing well. Make sure to follow up with a hydrating moisturizer to avoid stripping the skin. Those with sensitive skin may want to avoid double cleansing altogether because it could irritate the skin and break the skin barrier.
